Covid-19 Vaccine Update

As of today, March 30, 2021, the Maryland Covid-19 vaccine eligibility protocol has entered phase 2B, which includes those age 16 and older with underlying medical conditions that increase the risk for severe illness. Those in this group can now pre-register for Covid-19 vaccines. Phase 3, which begins April 27, 2020, includes the general population (healthy adults age 16 and older).

Once pre-registered, Marylanders will be notified once an appointment is available, and will be able to verify their pre-registration status and reserve an appointment. Pre-registration can be done online at covidvax.maryland.gov or by phone through the state’s COVID-19 vaccination support center at 1-855-MD-GOVA.

Bethesda Pediatrics has registered with the Maryland Department of Health and has been approved for administration of Covid-19 vaccines to our eligible patient population. However, we have not been notified of the timeline for vaccine distribution to private practices, so we currently recommend our patients pre-register through the state as outlined above. Please reach out to your primary physician at the office if you need further guidance.
