We use a standardized developmental screening questionnaire called the “M-CHAT” (the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers, Revised) at the 18 month and 2 year old checkup appointments.  Please download the questionnaire, complete in advance, and bring to your appointment, where it will be scored and scanned into your child’s electronic health record.

Please note that to increase the sensitivity of this test and detect as many cases of Autism Spectrum Disorder (“ASD”) as possible, there is a high false positive rate.  Therefore not all children who score at risk are diagnosed with ASD but will have follow up screening and/or evaluation.
